Blue Heron Pines Golf Club has launched a new golf instructional facility, The Golf Academy at Blue Heron Pines, under the direction of David Lee, the club’s director of instruction. Lee will be joined by PGA Class A Golf Professional Scott Sterling and prominent instructor Bruce Chelucci to provide top-notch instruction to golfers of all skill levels, from beginners to highly accomplished players.
The Golf Academy at Blue Heron Pines will feature state-of-the-art computer video analysis, individual lessons and group clinics for beginners, women and junior golfers. It will also include expert club fitting and club repair.

David Lee
Director of Instruction
David began his competitive golf career at Egg Harbor Township (NJ) High School where he became one of the premier players in the history of high school golf in South Jersey. He attended Virginia Commonwealth University where he was a teammate of current PGA Touring Pro John Rollins. David graduated from Methodist University in North Carolina where he was a member of their NCAA Division III championship team. He later went on to play on several mini-tours across the east coast and on the Asian Tours.
David joined the professional staff of Blue Heron Pines Golf Club in 2004 and became Director of Golf in 2007. He has more than 13 years of golf teaching experience under his belt and has worked with and observed several of the world’s best-known golf instructors.

Bruce Chelucci
Lead Instructor
Bruce has been teaching the fundamentals of golf professionally in Southern New Jersey for thirteen years. Bruce believes one of his greatest strengths is recognizing talent early on and giving the individual the proper tools to develop his or her game through equal parts; practice, playing and instruction. He is the long-time swing coach for reigning NCAA Division II individual champion Joanna Coe, a 2007 graduate of Oakcrest High School.

Scott Sterling
Head Golf Professional
Scott has been the head golf professional at Blue Heron Pines Golf Club since 2005. A Class “A” PGA Professional, Scott was elected to PGA membership in 1997. He has 25 years of teaching experience in golf and has taught thousands of lessons to golfers of all ages and skill levels. Scott’s vast experience enables him to expertly diagnose swing problems and devise an effective improvement plan.
A native of Toronto, Canada, Scott resides in Galloway Township.
